Tonight, PTO meeting to discuss Spring Carnival....

To All Alden Brown Parents,

In the spring of 2010, our Alden Brown Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) would like to host an evening carnival here at the school. The carnival is NOT a fundraiser – just a fun event that the PTO would like to do for our students and families.
At this time, the PTO does not have enough volunteers to consider having a Spring Carnival. They feel that they will need approximately 100 volunteers. The PTO will be hosting a carnival planning meeting at 6:00 pm this Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Alden Brown Elementary. They would like all interested volunteers for the carnival to come to this meeting. If you are not able to attend, but would like to volunteer, please email the PTO at aldenbrownpto@yahoo.com.
At the conclusion of this meeting, the PTO will decide if they are able to proceed with plans for a spring carnival.  Please attend the meeting if you are able to assist.

Carlisle High School Food Drive

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - FEBRUARY 24: Donated p...Image by Getty Images via Daylife
Carlisle High School will be holding their annual Canned Food Drive December 7th through 11th.  Each first period class will compete against each other within the school and the winning class will receive a reward.  This year, Carlisle High School will be battling Waynesville High School to see which school brings in more canned goods.  Carlisle plays Waynesville Friday, December 11th and we will collect cans at the door that night as well.  If you would like to participate in donating items for the Food Drive, please drop it off at the high school office any day that week.  The collected food will go to the Warren County Food Bank

The Chamberlain Middle School Student Council will be running a food drive from December 9th through December 16th.  They will be collecting canned food and non-perishable food items in the primetime classes.  All food collected will be picked up by the Lion's Club and Carlisle High School Wrestling team to be distributed in food baskets throughout the community. Any left over food will be given to Carlisle churches.  Please send in food items to help with this worthy cause.

On behalf of the student council and the community of Carlisle, thank you.
